Hansa Ceylon Coffee (Pvt) Ltd ("we", "us") runs hansaceylon.com, including our online shop and our wholesale order page. We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in line with Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Contact and delivery details you give us when you order: your name or business name, contact person, phone or WhatsApp number, email address and delivery address.
- Order details: the products, quantities, prices, delivery preferences and notes in your order.
- Payment information: if you pay by card, your card details are entered directly on the secure payment page of our payment provider, PayHere. We do not see or store your full card number, expiry date or security code. We receive a confirmation of payment and the last few digits of the card. If you pay by bank transfer, we receive the transfer details and any slip you send us.
- Messages you send us by WhatsApp, email or phone.
- Basic technical information, such as your browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools described below.
Use of information
We use your information to:
- process, confirm, deliver and invoice your orders
- contact you about your order, delivery or payment
- handle returns, refunds and customer service
- keep accounting and tax records as required by law
- prevent fraud and keep our website secure

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including secure (HTTPS) connections on our website and access limited to staff who need it. Card payments are handled entirely by PayHere's secure systems. Personal order links we send to wholesale customers hold their details in encrypted form. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if a problem occurs.

Our website uses cookies and your browser's local storage for basic functions, such as remembering the items in your basket or crate and your delivery details on your own device, so you do not have to type them again. We keep order and invoice records for as long as required by Sri Lankan tax and company law. Other information is kept only as long as we need it for the purposes above.
